Do you remember being fascinated by something as a kid? Being absorbed by this thing or that, wanting to know everything that you possibly could about that one, singular object? Asking the question that echoed throughout the land for all to hear ... "but why?". Learning was a process of untold discovery just waiting for you to find it. Being interested in something for no other reason than you wanted to know more about it. Not a chore. Not something that you had to remind yourself to do. You learnt because you wanted to know. It was fun. That's the way it should be. Learning is not a static experience. It's dynamic. It's engaging. It's exciting. It's uncovering new things that you didn't know before. It's about the experience. It's about your experience. It's about you.

This is where I tell you that I am the little kid described above, even today. I am an educator with over 20 years of formal education experience (and then some again as a student of life). I am passionate about learning and in engaging others in the process of how they learn. I am an educational designer who crafts experiences for people that mean something, not because "you have to". I am a curriculum designer focused on taking complex concepts and making them simple to understand. I am a communicator who guides people through their own processes and helps them to see that they've already got the tools that they need to be a life long learner. While my professional background is in health education, I'm not limited to that arena. Learning is broader than that. Like you, I'm learning every day. It's what I do.
